Design Engineer

Job Description

  • Design new product based on customer requirements using Solidworks and CAD
    • Communicate with customers to understand design requirements
    • Perform testing for design verification
    • Perform long term testing and maintain test records on various products
    • Apply GD&T where appropriate
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and document new processes for production
    • Investigate, identify, and implement cost savings using process and design both individually and through collaboration with teammates and customers.
  • Manage the EC process
    • Get answers to questions before the request is converted to an EC
    • Keep track of where they are at and follow up with people when they are stuck
    • Communicate with customers on clarifications to prints
    • Update all the necessary documents in packets including prints to match markups
    • Research and investigate to help answer to questions arise
  • Preferred experience in or with various CNC machining
  • Our Engineers work closely with production and are expected to collaborate across various departments and with groups of team members.

Qualifcations 

  • A high level of mechanical aptitude and applied understanding
  • Previous manufacturing, machining, and production experience preferred
  • Self-feeding and pursuit of continuous learning

Sales and Quoting

Job Description

Our PSP department, Planning, Scheduling, and Purchasing, is looking for someone who enjoys working with current customers, developing relationships with new customers, and providing timely and accurate quotes. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely and accurate quotes using our MRP system.
  • Communication via email and phone with current customers about current parts, opportunities for new parts, and other needs.
  • Communicating with internal customers, engineering, production, shipping and receiving, quality, and others.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills are required with focus on MS Excel, Visual EstiTrack (MRP), and e-mail management
  • Strong analytical, numerical and reason abilities
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Skill in negotiating competing needs to find creative solutions
  • Able to organizing resources, establishing priorities, and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Sense of urgency to meet customer needs
  • 1-2 years of experience Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Resource Planning (MRP) experience or ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well other individuals within the Company

Multi Spindle Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are looking to add a machinist to our team in the Screw Machine Department. The team is looking for someone with previous machining experience, particularly on multi spindle machines. If you enjoy production machining, working a team to meet customer needs, and opportunities to grow your skills on a team then this may be the position for you. Our Screw Machine department primarily uses Gildemeister Multi-Spindles. Below are qualifications and responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Inspecting parts throughout shift using various technics and tools such as calipers, thread gages, height gages, and other various gages or visual inspection machines.
  • Machining parts on multi spindles lathes.
  • Secondary operations on parts, such as, washing parts.
  • Maintain proper fluid levels on the machines you are operate on.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications:

  • A mid to high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Open to continuous improvement and implementation of improvements.
  • Able to work well with others on in your department as well as across the organization as needed.
  • Previous experience in setting up multi spindle lathes is preferred but not required. An openness to learn setting up multi spindle lathes is expected.
  • An attitude that sees the possibilities.
  • A lean mindset, looking for ways to improve processes through eliminated waste.
  • Previous experience on multi spindle lathes is desired.
Milling Machinist

Job Description

Our Milling department is looking to add a machinist in the vertical and secondary milling area. We are looking for someone with previous experience in machine particularly CNC Milling on mills. Below are some expectations and responsibilities in this position:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Inspecting parts throughout shift using various technics and tools such as calipers, thread gages, height gages, and other various gages.
  • Machining parts on vertical mills, primarily, and performing secondary operations based upon requirements and specifications to each job.
  • Maintain proper fluid levels on the machines you are operate on.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications:

  • A mid to high level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Open to continuous improvement and implementation of improvements.
  • Able to work well with others on in your department as well as across the organization as needed.

Job Description

Our Swiss department is looking to add a machinist to their team primarily operating, able to or able to learn set ups and programming on Star ECAS20s. Previous experience operating and setting up Swiss machines is preferred but not required. Below are expectations and responsibilities in this position:

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Inspecting parts throughout shift using various technics and tools such as calipers, thread gages, height gages, and other various gages.
  • Machining parts on Star ECAS20s
  • Maintain proper fluid levels on the machines you are operate on.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment.
